Positions Available:

Installation Department Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Train, coach and mentor crew
  • Review contract proposals
  • Assist with timing of materials and workflow for each job, with appropriate instructions to the project manager, field supervisor and crew
  • Responsible for crews’ annual performance evaluation
  • Monitor and inspect quality control to ensure client service, work quality, deadlines are in line with company standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and the customers, including general contractors, sub-contractors, architects, landscape architects, and vendors.
  • Responsible for all correspondence, change orders, all communications and meetings with the customers, contractors, and others involved in the project.
  • Prepare annual division budget and provide useful information in proposing the department’s annual budget.
  • Create weekly schedules for crew and jobs.
  • Update and monitor the project schedules to insure jobs are on task and on budget as proposed including net profit.
  • Attend weekly management meeting. Give report on projects, status sheets, job costing, and project back log on schedule to budget.


Experience/Requirements:

  • 5 years or more experience in a lead role in Landscape or Construction industry is preferred
  • Understanding of bid estimation and construction and/or landscaping installation practices and procedures is preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Arbor manager

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to train & develop the Arbor crew.
  • Must be able to grow the division’s revenue, more importantly, net profits. 
  • Practice and reinforce safety as a #1 priority.
  • Manage timing of materials and workflow for each job, with appropriate instructions to the field supervisor and crew.
  • Prepare bid estimations. This will require obtaining plant material pricing from other nurseries, as well as calculating costs for materials needed for irrigation and other items.
  • The AM will also be a liaison between Ultimate Innovations, Inc. and its customers, which will include but not be limited to: clients, general contractors, and sub-contractors.
  • Responsible for all correspondence, change orders, all communications and meetings with the customers, contractors, and others involved in the project.
  • Must be able to prepare the company’s department budget.

Skills/Knowledge:

In addition to being able to fulfill the physical, mental, and communication demands listed above, must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures, including safety rules of operating equipment.  A good understanding of bid estimation is required, and an understanding of construction accounting will prove helpful.

Requirements:

  • Arbor Certification
  • Valid Drivers License along with a clean Abstract of Traffic Record

  • 3 years managerial experience in arbor, agriculture, landscaping, or related field

Accounts Payable/Admin Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Primary individual responsible for handling incoming phone calls
  • Issue Purchase Orders daily as approved
  • Match Purchase Orders/ Packing Slips/ Verify amounts on invoice prior to entry
  • Maintain a paperless system within Quickbooks
  • Monitor ongoing fuel usage.
  • Order, stock, and maintain office supplies (such as business cards).
  • Assist with other administrative and accounting duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field. Experience required.

Handyman/General Maintenance

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for keeping the facility in excellent condition; the equipment must be checked and in working condition. The facility, equipment, tools, and vehicles must be inspected and maintained for on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and repair buildings, equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  • Inspect and clean equipment on a daily basis.
  • Wash and clean vehicles inside and out every Friday.
  • Perform shop duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Skills/Knowledge: Must know how to operate machinery, be able to follow instructions and safety procedures, including safety rules of operating equipment.  Must have strong decision making and good supervisory skills. 12 months landscape maintenance experience preferred.
